How do I use the GLASSGUARD™ scratch removal kit?Updated 8 months ago
This kit is designed to help you remove scratches from glass surfaces quickly and effectively. It includes a scratch-removal paste and a drill scourer pad kit.
Safety First: Always ensure you are working in a safe environment. Protective eyewear and gloves are recommended.
STEP 1: PREPARE THE SURFACE
Clean the glass surface with a glass cleaner to remove any dust or grime. Wipe dry with a clean cloth.
STEP 2: APPLY THE PASTE
Squeeze a small amount of the scratch removal paste onto the glass scratch.
STEP 3: ATTACH THE SCOURER PAD
Attach the scourer pad to your drill. Make sure the drill is unplugged or power is off while attaching the pad to ensure safety.
STEP 4: DISTRIBUTE THE PASTE
Turn the drill on to a low setting and lightly go over the paste-covered scratch with the scourer pad. The goal here is to spread the paste evenly across the scratched area.
STEP 5: REMOVE THE SCRATCH
Increase the drill speed slightly and continue to work the paste into the scratch. Spend about 1-2 minutes doing this, ensuring the paste is being well worked into the scratch.
STEP 6: RINSE AND REPEAT
Wipe away the excess paste with a damp cloth and inspect the scratch. If the scratch is still visible, repeat the process.
STEP 7: CLEAN THE SURFACE
Once the scratch is no longer visible, clean the glass surface again with glass cleaner and wipe dry.
Note: Remember, some deeper scratches may not be entirely removable. However, this process should significantly lessen their appearance.
If you have any doubts about the process or the scratch's depth, consult with a professional before starting the process to prevent any unintentional damage.
